This website provides information about OsloMet Gaming's Minecraft activities. Most of the content focuses on the SMP (Survival Multiplayer) server, including server status, maps, events, rules, and key locations on the server.

About the SMP server

The Oslo Met SMP is a Minecraft server accessible at the IP omgmc.no It is a safe, friendly server focused on providing a mostly vanilla Minecraft experience with minimal modded content. You can join the server by launching Minecraft version 1.21 and using the provided IP. While there are a few mods, the gameplay remains largely vanilla. Our community features designated areas for specific activities, such as a shopping district and a mini-game district, to enhance the collaborative experience

SMP Server Rules

These rules may be adjusted as needed.

1️⃣ Respect All Players

No harassment, hate speech, or bullying. Treat everyone with kindness.

2️⃣ How to get whitelisted:

You must be a member of the OsloMet Gaming Discord server for at least TWO WEEKS.

Add the ✅ reaction to this post (on Discord) to get whitelisted, and by doing so, you agree to all the rules.

To get whitelisted, simply type: whitelist <MinecraftUserName>

3️⃣ No griefing:

Absolutely no griefing! Don't destroy or steal from other players' builds or property. Our admins can track any items taken from chests. If you are caught stealing, you will be banned immediately.

4️⃣ Protect the Environment

Don’t cause excessive damage to the landscape (e.g., avoid leaving floating trees).

5️⃣ Follow Staff Instructions

Server Helpers and admins have the final say. Respect their decisions. Not doing so may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the server. If there is a large dispute, you may reach out to one of the OMG Board members.

6️⃣ Report Issues

If you see someone breaking the rules, report it to a Helper, admin or board member.

7️⃣ No Cheating or Hacking

Using mods, hacks, or exploits that give an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.
